
Ruiyun Qiu is a Lecturer and Master's Supervisor at Nanchang University, who has been a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Technology at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia since March 2021. She earned her B.Sc. in Computer Science from the School of Computer and Information, Jiangxi Normal University in July 2004 and her M.Eng. in Computer Engineering from Nanchang University in January 2010, joined the faculty of Nanchang University in September 2004, and was promoted to Lecturer in December 2011. Her long-term academic focus covers fundamental computer science education and artificial intelligence: in teaching, she has presided over 1 provincial-level teaching reform research project, served as the chief editor of two textbooks included in the "13th Five-Year Plan" Textbook Series for General Higher Education (Fundamentals of University Computer and Python Programming) and as associate editor of Introduction to Machine Learning and Practice, Python Programming and Deep Learning and other textbooks, and has received the University Teaching Quality Excellence Award (including nominations) 7 times and the Second Prize of Nanchang University Teaching Innovation Competition twice; in scientific research, she has led 1 science and technology project funded by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Health, participated in multiple projects supported by the Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation, published numerous academic papers as the sole corresponding author in SCI Q2 journals such as Computers in Biology and Medicine and Biomedical Signal Processing and Control, and was awarded the First Prize of Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award as the third contributing author in 2023.
