What kind of vitality sparks when rigorous code logic meets unrestrained travel inspiration? On November 25, 2025, the theme fun sports meet "AI Wonder Journey, Leaping into the Future," jointly organized by the School of Artificial Intelligence and the School of Tourism, was enthusiastically held at the Xiuxian Sports Ground on the Qianhu Campus. First-year students from both schools gathered together, achieving a splendid interdisciplinary fusion through competition and laughter, showcasing the vibrant energy of university students in the new era.

Opening Ceremony: Interdisciplinary Fusion, Messages for the Future

At the beginning of the sports meet, Teacher Zeng Qingwei, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Artificial Intelligence, attended the event to deliver the opening speech and cheer for the students. Teacher Zeng Qingwei highly praised this cross-school collaboration, stating: "Artificial intelligence is the 'algorithm' for exploring the future, while tourism and leisure are the 'itinerary' for experiencing the world. Today, students from both schools are standing side by side here, which is a vivid practice of 'technology empowering life, and humanities illuminating technology.' I hope everyone competes with style, skill, and, more importantly, forges precious friendships in the games!" Teacher Zeng Qingwei's enthusiastic speech won rounds of applause from the entire venue.

Afterward, Teacher Liu Yaofei, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Tourism, declared the official start of the sports meet, kicking off the exciting event.

Field Highlights: Four Challenges of Wisdom and Teamwork

Rowing Toward the Future (Dragon Boat Race): Team members rode on inflatable dragon boats, moving forward in coordination like arks carrying dreams, breaking through waves and sailing toward a common goal. On-site chants of "left-right-left" rose one after another, testing the team's sense of rhythm and coordination.

Algorithm Porters: This event cleverly simulated the process of data transmission and processing. Team members needed to use specific tools to safely and efficiently pass "data packets" (ping-pong balls) to the finish line. This was not only a race for speed but also a severe test of "algorithm" optimization and teamwork strategy.

Unfalling Forest: Team members, each holding a long pole, formed a circle and moved positions while ensuring the poles did not fall. This closely resembled the extreme focus and mutual trust a team needs to maintain amidst the ever-changing tides of technology and travel adventures.

Tug-of-War: As the traditional group finale, the tug-of-war pushed the atmosphere to its peak. On both ends of the rope were not just tests of strength but also contests of will. The cheers from the cheering squads were deafening, fully demonstrating the collective cohesion.

Joyful Conclusion: Snack Challenge and Returning with Full Loads

After several rounds of tense, thrilling, and wonderfully fun competitions, the winners of various awards were announced. The winning teams and individuals received richly prepared prizes such as water bottles and customized dolls, returning with full loads.

At the end of the event, the innovative "Snack Challenge" segment pushed the joyful atmosphere to another peak. At the sound of the whistle, students sprinted with all their might, cheering as they participated. The snacks were swept up in

Every instance of teamwork and every burst of laughter on the field were captured as the most vivid moments. This "AI Wonder Journey, Leaping into the Future" fun sports meet not only provided a platform for students to relieve stress and exercise but also built a bridge of friendship between the School of Artificial Intelligence and the School of Tourism. It demonstrated through action that technology and humanities are not parallel lines; they can intersect on the field of youth, jointly weaving a more colorful and dynamic vision for the future.
